How to Enable Windows Sandbox

The Windows Sandbox provides an isolated desktop where you can run software that might compromise your current Windows environment. Every time Windows Sandbox is started, you will be presented with a clean installation of Windows, meaning no files are preserved from the previous session.

Here are a few details before you can use Windows Sandbox. You must be running Windows 10 (18305 or later) 64-bit Pro or Enterprise SKUs, with at least 4GB of RAM, virtualization capabilities enabled in the BIOS, 1GB of free disk space, and at least 2 CPU cores.

Windows Sandbox is a built-in Windows feature which you can enable from the Control Panel.

Facebook Toolkit Awesome Automation.

I needed to automate some of these Facebook tasks and I’m sure some of you want to do the same, auto adding people, auto messaging, auto accept requests and a few others. After looking around for a bit I ran into something quite cool to automate certain tasks in FB. It’s a plugin by PlugEx called Toolkit For FB . This Plugin is only for Google Chrome so make sure you have that installed

Microsoft Edge Being Switched To Chromium

If you haven’t heard already Microsoft Edge is switching to the open-source Chromium software. This is the same software that Google Chrome is based on. This is a beautiful idea most because who wants to navigate a hand full of folder paths to reach favorites. I really hope that they will place them back to the original location. The reason why Microsoft is moving to the Chromium based software is due to website compatibility issues. May developers use Macs to cram out code and graphics for websites and well these Mac users do not have access to Edge. Microsoft said that the new browser can be used on Macs which will increase compatibility not only for current sites but for future sites as well.

How to Uninstall the Kaseya Agent from Macs.

How to remove Kaseya Agent from Macs  can be a challenge sometimes hopefully these few simple steps can assist you on removing the agent successfully.

  1. Applies to: All VSA’s. Download the following package and extract the zip contents.
    KaseyaUninstall.pkg.zip
     


  2. Run the KaseyaUninstall.pkg installer and choose to Install to the Macintosh Harddrive. Although this appears to be installing a product, it is actually running the uninstallation script for the Kaseya Agent.  (NOTE: You may have to go into System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General Tab to allow the software to run. )

  3. Launch Terminal and run the “rm -rf /var/tmp/kpid” command.

  4. Remove the agent with root rights, i.e. in Terminal run the “sudo rm -rf /var/tmp/kpid” command and then provide the root password

  5. The Kaseya Agent and all associated files should now be removed.

Setup Windows 10 System Restore. Not Enabled by Default.

Did you know that Windows 10 does not have system restore configured by default? System Restore comes handy when a patch crashed your system or updated drivers and software that caused unwanted reactions of the computer.

 

1. Find and Open System Restore

At the search box in Windows 10 search for system restore and select Create a restore point from the list. When the System Properties dialog box opens up, click the System Protection tabMake sure (C:)(System) is high lighted then and then click the [Configure] button.

 

 

2. Enabling System Restore

Click on the radio button Turn on system protection. Afterwards use the Max Usage slider to determine how much of your hard drive to use to store. Restore Points — 5% to 10% is usually sufficient then click [OK].

Windows 10 re-releases the October 2018 patch which was delayed for over a month

Hey friends It’s Patch Tuesday and Microsoft’s Windows 10 October 2018 Update version 1809 had a horrible release last time. Good news is that they have resolved a number of issues with this re-release update.

This was an update that had to be immediately halted because the update could cause you to loose files and have other random glitches.
